Only happened in those issues with matrix number 87541-I A-4-N2. The cause, A-side run-out area was almost to disappear and had to do that tricky edition, so that any record player could stop automatically or returning capsule arm to its stop position, once detected run-out groove. | ||

And I can’t tell you a good answer cos I don’t know. I collect covers and visual things more than having a big interest in different mixes, versions, etc. What I would recommend you is to check a couple of places. The MOWD at https://www.mike-oldfield.es/mowd/ and also Rainer lists in my website where sometimes there are comments about different mixes when Rainer knew. In this case in particular, the best you can do is to go to the Facebook page to the boxed cd entry and ask Lee Thomas if he can add a photo of his item where that UDEN serial number appears. He says he has it so to add a photo will be easy for him. I have the feeling he is referring to a serial number directly printed in the CDs of the 3cd box, in the “matrix” area. If you check my own copy here with the magnifying glass or the photos of cds in the MOWD, then maybe you understand what I mean (check the CD photos, the center of them, there are some info, probably the serial number that Lee refers to). But I would ask him to be sure cos I don’t really know. | ||

These tiny differences makes records like this collectable. The one without LC number is for sure the older one. The first edition on green/red label in my opinion. Not really rare but nobody really searches for such items. Someday one come accross them and keeps them, happy that a normal item is an addition to the collection. At least this happened to me. | ||

Please check backcover bottom right of both items for a very small change (lcnumber). And also the labels. On both labels there is a tiny difference too (ignore the name of the previous owner in one of them of course). What do you think? Not rare, but I love these small differences. | ||
